Reaktor is proud to announce our collaboration with Alaska Airlines to design and deliver a new Starlink connectivity portal across both the Alaska and Hawaiian fleets, enabling ultra-fast free Wi-Fi in the air, thanks to T-Mobile.

Alaska Airlines previously announced a major upgrade to its inflight experience: Starlink Wi-Fi on every flight by 2027. Reaktor designed and delivered the connectivity portal at the heart of this service.

“We set out to create a sign-on experience that feels effortless for our guests and matches the quality of our ultra-fast onboard Wi-Fi,” said David Scotland, Director - Cabin Experience at Alaska Airlines.

“Reaktor has been an exceptional partner in helping bring that vision to life, delivering a portal that gets guests connected in seconds and makes it easier than ever to access free Wi-Fi across our Alaska and Hawaiian fleets.”

Seamless connectivity from gate to landing

As one of North America’s leading airlines, Alaska Airlines is recognized for its commitment to guest experience, innovation, and exceptional service. Alaska Airlines continues to invest in next-generation technology to elevate the onboard experience and better serve guests at every stage of their journey.

The new portal is designed to connect guests quickly and effortlessly, unlocking the full potential of high-speed Starlink connectivity. From gate to gate and at cruising altitude, guests can stream from their favorite platforms, play games, browse a map developed by FlightPath3D, catch up on work, or stay connected with friends and family, supported by ultra-fast, reliable internet access.

The portal was built and launched in just over six months, with additional enhancements planned further strengthening the in-flight digital experience across both fleets.

With the new connectivity portal, the fast free Wi-Fi is already available on select Alaska Airlines and all trans-pacific Hawaiian Airlines flights. Looking ahead, travelers will be able to create an Atmos Rewards account, the combined loyalty program for Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines, to access connectivity.

Beyond connectivity, the portal features curated brand content from both airlines. A key objective in its development was flexibility: the platform enables efficient management of brand and advertising content, empowering non-technical stakeholders to update and maintain content easily without complex development cycles.

“Today’s travelers’ needs are constantly evolving. They now expect seamless digital experiences that are simple, intuitive, and as fast as their own thoughts. User interfaces that feel effortless and responsive have become the new standard,” said Michael Holler, Vice President at Reaktor Aero. “Together, Reaktor, Alaska Airlines, and T-Mobile are advancing the in-flight digital experience, delivering faster connectivity across the Hawaiian and Alaska fleets.”
