Hey business or tech student close to graduation
Would you be thrilled to join one of the fastest growing tech venture co-founding businesses as a trainee?
Have you already gained some exposure to the tech sector, venture capital investments, or consulting, and have a keen interest to learn more?
Are you precise and detail-oriented but also flexible and efficient, as well as fluent in Finnish and English?
If this sounds like you, please keep reading. Reaktor is looking for a Helsinki-based Trainee to join our Reaktor Ecosystem team, and you could be the one we are looking for.
About Reaktor Ecosystem
Reaktor Ecosystem is a handpicked alliance of over 45 independent technology, design, and strategy companies. Operating as one tightly connected network of more than 2,000 digital experts across 15+ locations, we co-found and invest in companies alongside ambitious founders. The ecosystem breaks down traditional silos to deliver specialized expertise covering everything from high-level advisory and software engineering to AI governance, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Our Reaktor Ecosystem team creates new business concepts, recruits founders, and actively supports these portfolio companies in ramping up their operations and gearing them up towards international growth.
Your role as a Trainee
As a Trainee, you will provide critical operational support to the Reaktor Ecosystem team in various activities related to venture building, ecosystem business growth, and portfolio management.
The role will be tailored based on your interests and the team's needs. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-
Preparing business presentations, financial reports, and legal documents.
-
Facilitating communication, marketing activities, and seamless collaboration among ecosystem companies.
-
Conducting market research, data analysis, and various development projects for portfolio strategy development.
-
Assisting with general tasks such as organizing meetings, hosting events, and fostering cohesion within the ecosystem.
-
Assisting in founder recruitment and supporting the onboarding of new companies.
-
Keeping the “infra” of the team in good shape: managing the portfolio data and internal systems.
In this role, you will gain a 360-view of venture co-founding operations, meaning that you get to both challenge yourself professionally and work with pragmatic, hands-on tasks. We hope that you embrace the opportunity to learn and develop, but at the same time do not consider any task too small or big for you to handle.
The structure of the role
-
Fixed-term: ideally, you would start in August 2026 and work for a full calendar year. However, we are ready to start even earlier if the right candidate is found.
-
Full-time: if you want to make progress with your studies while working, a reasonable amount of flexibility can be arranged.
-
Location: based in Helsinki, Finland. A remote day every now and then is perfectly fine, but you will get the most out of this opportunity by being present at Reaktor’s office located in Yliopistonkatu, Helsinki.
We are looking for someone who:
-
Studies business or tech and is at the final stage of their studies (200+ credits). If you have recently graduated, you can also apply as long as you are committed to the one-year fixed term.
-
Has been professionally exposed to the tech sector, startups, or consulting, for example during a previous internship. Familiarity with technologies, business operations, and event organizing is a welcome bonus, and a hands-on, operational mindset matters most.
-
Is detail-oriented, structured, and enjoys working with data and documentation.
-
Has a can-do attitude combined with curiosity and confidence to take on tasks you may not have done earlier.
-
Communicates fluently in Finnish and English, and enjoys interacting with a wide range of new people, from founders to external partners to internal teams.
What Reaktor offers you:
-
Learn about venture business: this role gives you a front-row seat to founding, financing, and growing new businesses, from the operational side as well as the commercial, strategic, and recruitment perspectives.
-
Support companies in the founding phase: by joining the Reaktor Ecosystem team, you get to see firsthand what happens when setting up and growing founder-driven businesses.
-
Jump-start your career: if you anticipate your future career to be linked to venture capital, corporate development, or tech business management, it will not be easy to find a more comprehensive opportunity than this one.
-
Join a relaxed yet ambitious team: you can expect a fast-paced environment where your expertise will be valued and trusted by a bunch of friendly and highly capable colleagues.

FAQ
01 What are we looking for?
We believe there’s more that matters than just the resume. We’re looking for an exciting overlap of curiosity, creativity, people skills, and experience: people who are willing to learn, participate, and share new perspectives.
02 What does the hiring process look like?
We take the time to learn about your skills and aspirations and help you learn about ours. Our interview process usually involves three or four conversations over the course of a few weeks. From application to closing, our process takes about four weeks. Your recruiter will keep you up to date on what to expect from each stage of our interviewing process.
03 What kinds of projects do you have?
We do a variety of different kinds of projects, with the aim of each being meaningful and critical to a client’s business. Our typical engagements are from 6 months to 18 months and involve between 3-6 Reaktorians collaborating closely with our clients. When it comes to picking and choosing, we look at a number of things from the business side. For example, we tend to be interested in the multi-functional growth potential of the project as well as the technological and digital maturity of the client, their product, and the project overall. However, not all good business is a good fit for us culturally. We only take on new business that aligns with our values, is interesting for our people to work on, and has a great local or global impact.
04 How do we staff projects?
The core idea behind how we staff is that you will never be alone in a project. When staffing our projects, we first start by going through your preferences and ambitions for learning, be it customer location, the field of business, or some particular technology. We then go through your learning and self-development targets and do our best to match all of the above to a project. We get multiple projects and new openings in existing projects each month. If there isn’t a perfect fit immediately, we try to find a spot for you in an existing project or take some time while you work on internal projects, or get deeper into onboarding.
05 What do people do in between projects?
Client work is our number one priority, but we’ve gotten pretty good at making the most out of the normal in-between time in the consulting business. Maybe you’ve just joined us, your project has just ended, or you’re rotating out of one and looking for new opportunities, it can sometimes take a while to find the next client project. These are great opportunities to take training, dive into a new topic, or help out with internal development. Your time in between projects does not affect your pay.
06 Is it ok to work remotely?
It depends on the project in question, as we choose the option that fits best with each client. Sometimes projects are multisite, at other times, there are more on-site visits, and on rather rare occasions, we are 100% remote. That said, we love to see each other every once in a while and spend time together at get-togethers and occasional in-person meetings.
