Reaktor's award-winning tech community is looking for a Product Management Lead to join us in Amsterdam or Helsinki. In this role, you will be part of our Retail business unit, where we work with some of the world’s most recognized brands and retailers to build the next generation of digital products and services.

This role sits at the intersection of product leadership and delivery. While the position is internally aligned with a delivery-focused leadership role, we are looking for an experienced product professional who can lead product direction while ensuring teams deliver meaningful business and customer outcomes.

Retail is undergoing a profound transformation. From AI-powered personalization and data-driven operations to emerging concepts like agentic commerce, the industry is rapidly redefining how businesses interact with customers and how commerce itself is orchestrated. At Reaktor, we partner with leading retailers to turn these possibilities into real-world solutions—creating digital products, platforms, and experiences that shape the future of retail.

For product leaders passionate about innovation, this means the opportunity to work at the forefront of retail evolution, helping organizations experiment with new technologies, rethink customer journeys, and build the digital capabilities required for the next era of commerce.

Key responsibilities and capabilities

  • Product strategy & vision Articulate and communicate a compelling product vision. Drive the prioritization process, making critical trade-offs between competing needs and ensuring alignment with business goals. Act as an expert, bringing valuable insights to decision-making and taking ownership of critical product choices.
  • Product delivery & impact Drive the end-to-end delivery of digital products in complex organizational environments involving multiple teams and stakeholders. Ensure that strategy turns into real customer and business outcomes by aligning teams, prioritizing effectively, and removing obstacles that slow down delivery.
  • Client partnership & advisory Engage effectively with a broad range of client stakeholders across leadership, product management, design and technology. Act as a trusted advisor, working closely with the client’s business and tech teams to guide them towards optimal solutions and build strong, lasting relationships.
  • Team leadership & collaboration Work closely with Reaktor consultants across different sites to ensure top-notch, cohesive delivery aligned with the client's vision. Foster a positive team environment, acting as a team builder and facilitator to resolve conflicts, both within the delivery teams and with the client.
  • Data-driven improvement Utilize data-driven insights, product metrics, and customer feedback to continuously monitor performance and refine the product, enhancing user satisfaction, engagement, and overall business value.
  • Business growth Actively identify and pursue opportunities to generate new business for Reaktor and foster growth within the client account, ensuring our business continuity and partnership development.

This role is ideal for a senior product leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of product strategy and execution — someone who can shape product direction while ensuring teams deliver meaningful outcomes in complex environments.

This individual brings more than just a facilitator mindset; they are a decisive leader, consultant, and product expert who is eager to take action, drive outcomes, and take responsibility for guiding both the program and the client towards success.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:

  • Experience leading product development in complex environments (e.g. large organizations, multiple vendors, distributed teams).
  • Experience working closely with design and engineering to validate ideas, understand customer needs, and ensure teams are building the right things — not just building things right.
  • Strong experience with Agile product development and modern delivery practices.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders on a multinational scale, enabling you to lead international multisite projects.
  • Experience working with digital products and services because this is the bread and butter of our offering.
  • Coaching and people skills so you can energize teams and help turn conflicts into a source of trust.
  • Strong facilitation skills so teams can take responsibility and ownership while still getting the help they need.
  • The capability to work effectively both in-person and remotely because we have onsite, remote, and hybrid teams.
  • Fluency in English required.

FAQ

01 What are we looking for?

We believe there’s more that matters than just the resume. We’re looking for an exciting overlap of curiosity, creativity, people skills, and experience: people who are willing to learn, participate, and share new perspectives.

02 What does the hiring process look like?

We take the time to learn about your skills and aspirations and help you learn about ours. Our interview process usually involves three or four conversations over the course of a few weeks. From application to closing, our process takes about four weeks. Your recruiter will keep you up to date on what to expect from each stage of our interviewing process.

03 What kinds of projects do you have?

We do a variety of different kinds of projects, with the aim of each being meaningful and critical to a client’s business. Our typical engagements are from 6 months to 18 months and involve between 3-6 Reaktorians collaborating closely with our clients. When it comes to picking and choosing, we look at a number of things from the business side. For example, we tend to be interested in the multi-functional growth potential of the project as well as the technological and digital maturity of the client, their product, and the project overall. However, not all good business is a good fit for us culturally. We only take on new business that aligns with our values, is interesting for our people to work on, and has a great local or global impact.

04 How do we staff projects?

The core idea behind how we staff is that you will never be alone in a project. When staffing our projects, we first start by going through your preferences and ambitions for learning, be it customer location, the field of business, or some particular technology. We then go through your learning and self-development targets and do our best to match all of the above to a project. We get multiple projects and new openings in existing projects each month. If there isn’t a perfect fit immediately, we try to find a spot for you in an existing project or take some time while you work on internal projects, or get deeper into onboarding.

05 What do people do in between projects?

Client work is our number one priority, but we’ve gotten pretty good at making the most out of the normal in-between time in the consulting business. Maybe you’ve just joined us, your project has just ended, or you’re rotating out of one and looking for new opportunities, it can sometimes take a while to find the next client project. These are great opportunities to take training, dive into a new topic, or help out with internal development. Your time in between projects does not affect your pay.

06 Is it ok to work remotely?

It depends on the project in question, as we choose the option that fits best with each client. Sometimes projects are multisite, at other times, there are more on-site visits, and on rather rare occasions, we are 100% remote. That said, we love to see each other every once in a while and spend time together at get-togethers and occasional in-person meetings.
