Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) is a framework for scaling agile development to multiple teams. LeSS.works gives an overview. LeSS builds on top of the Scrum principles such as empiricism, cross-functional self-managing teams and provides a framework for applying that at scale. It provides simple structural rules and guidelines on how to adopt Scrum in large product development.
This in-depth, interactive course is taught by Greg Hutchings, founder of Amelior Services. Greg is an expert in scaling Lean and Agile using LeSS and Innovation Games(tm), who has 10 years of experience teaching and coaching large scale agile at many innovative products and services companies. He shares this experience and centers the course on the context and questions of the students who participate actively.

After leadership stints at the two companies best known for their ability to scale agile, ThoughtWorks and Valtech (Forrester Research, 2004), Greg founded Amelior Services in 2015 to help companies transform their organizations, culture, teams and people to better develop outstanding and competitive products and services. To improve competitivity, customer satisfaction and business results, Greg includes product management, customer experience, and a customer and market focus in his training and coaching.

Greg dis experienced in the domains of Startup and New Product Development, Automotive, Luxury, Digital Entertainment, e-Commerce, Finance, Industrials, Education, High tech and Telecoms.
Greg has guided the agile and lean transformation of many large companies over his career. He and his colleagues have a client-centric approach which includes first understanding a group’s goals and challenges. He is not a fan of “installing” a framework as a one-size-fits-all solution to all ills, and he appreciates that every group is unique. Greg helps to identify organizational, team and personal strengths and weaknesses, building on strengths and addressing weaknesses, and building internal leadership for change to leverage his coaching and teaching efforts and make change more durable.
His diverse experience provides alternative perspectives for introducing change and focusing on what is most important to improve first. Greg works with a global network of highly experienced coaches and trainers which permits Amelior Services to offer large companies an integrated, experienced and high quality, dynamic team to provide for their training and coaching needs.
Several large clients that Greg has worked with in depth in digital, lean and agile transformations include Alcatel-Lucent (fixed access and wireless product divisions, now Nokia), BMW (autonomous driving, product design, digital products and electrical engineering groups), Bwin Party Digital Entertainment (now GVC Holdings, case study available), Flixbus, and PayU, a fintech owned by the Naspers Group.
Currently (January 2019), Greg is deeply involved with BMW, where he is working with the organization that is imagining, designing and building autonomous driving and other new features for future BMW products. Greg also offers a small number of public and private workshops and training sessions, and is available for strategic consulting.
Greg’s engagement model includes consulting with the executive leadership team, a deep dive with product and R&D management, training and coaching of HR, organizational structure and site strategy advice and management, and in-depth work with teams. Greg helps model and optimize the whole value creation system, including customers, partners and stakeholders.
Greg often suggests and can facilitate very large scale retrospectives, dynamic product roadmaps and an optimizing and adaptive portfolio governance process.
