Business Development Director

Our Tokyo office is looking for a Business Development Director looking to create world class digital products for our customers and communicate effectively to a wide spectrum of audience types, seek out and nurture new accounts, understand client needs and expected to work closely with Reaktor’s project delivery team as well as CEO.

A typical day as a Business Development Director:

  • Manage each stages of the sales cycle – i.e., lead generation, perform outreach to prospects and other sales methods to build an optimal pipeline
  • Constantly analyze and improve our sales process in order to acquire new sales opportunities with current clients as well as extending ongoing project contracts
  • Understand client needs and the KPIs that drive them. Look for the reasons behind client desires to find solutions that will help them reach their goals
  • Create and present proposals that help clients reach their goals including needed research, design, and development phases; schedule; cost; process; and the value of each activity and choosing Reaktor

What you need to bring with you:

  • 10+ years experience in digital product/service development sales
  • Strong verbal communication skill and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholder groups both in English and Japanese
  • Experience in acquiring new clients in addition to growing existing engagements for a digital agency, digital product studio or management consulting with proven track record
  • Well connected with client’s key contacts as well as sales partners and able to introduce Reaktor
  • Understanding of and experience with Design Thinking, digital product development, project planning and agile method
  • Talented in all aspects of sales and business development – i.e., initiation, qualifying prospects and leads, closing deals, and client management
