Well, wasn’t it high time for this to happen: Polte has now joined forces with a gaming company! Time to introduce you to our newest friends, Two Men and a Dog. The founding team Matti Kallonen and Aleksi Räisänen will be leaving on an all-expenses paid trip to China in a week: the company was recently selected as one of six finalists of an indie-developer program by China’s leading mobile app publisher, SkyMobi.

“We’ve been working together for quite a while, but Two Men and a Dog came around only about a year ago. We met up with Polte this June at the Games First-summit, hit it off immediately, and the rest is history.

Our game, Zombie Catchers, has been soft-launched in Finland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It has already gathered a nice little fan base – gamers that tend to like sci-fi and are endowed with a raunchy sense of humor. The game is, of course, an addictive zombie game with a unique twist: who said that a zombie invasion can’t also be a business opportunity?

Hopefully, the game will soon be recognized by a whole new audience. It is an honor to be one of the finalists of SkyMobis program: the Chinese mobile gaming market will soon override the size of the American market, so this is a huge opportunity. SkyMobi will help the winners of the program localise their product and guarantee them at least five million downloads. Obviously, we can’t know what the future has in store for us, but right now we’re eagerly waiting for our launch – we have big plans for Zombie Catchers.”

I have full confidence in these guys knocking it out of the park on their trip to China. Their game has proved seriously addictive from the first prototypes. I cannot but admire the productivity and work ethic of this duo. The level of detail and polish in their work is astounding.

Zombie Catchers is currently available in Finland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Check the game out here. Happy hunting!
